GASPARE MANOS

Gaspare Manos was born in 1968 in Bangkok. He lives and works between Paris, London and Venice. His works traces the boundary between abstract art and figurative art and draws on his experiences living in Asia (1968-1973), Africa (1973-1982) and Europe (1983-present) as well as on his PhD studies on Phenomenology at the London School of Economics.

With the exhibition The Venice Paintings that will take place at Pièce Unique Gallery and Pièce Unique Variations, the artist gives us his artistic interpretation of the urban world through some paintings entirely dedicated to the city of Venice.

Gaspare Manos represented his country in occasion of several international exhibitions, such as OPEN 13 in Venice, with artworks by Dennis Oppenheim (USA) and Orlan (France). His paintings have been exhibited at the Museo Diocesano di Venezia during the URBIS exhibition, with over 150 works by the artist and at the Museum of Modern Art of Minsk. Moreover, from November 18th, 2016 until March 30th, 2017 a big solo show at the Musée des Beaux Arts de Saint-Lô will follow the exhibition at Pièce Unique Gallery
